Produced by Terrence Malick, this up-close and personal vérité documentary chronicles the cycle of substance abuse and addiction among a First Nations community in Minnesota. Director Jack Riccobono uncovers the road to nowhere for several young people who attempt to break out, but find themselves pulled back into the days and nights of hard drug and alcohol use and arrests that keep them from employment and their families. Following the screening, we’ll have a discussion with director Jack Riccobono about the making of the film and the community and characters depicted.
