Requirements
Open to the general public. Basic understanding of camera functions (shutter speed, frame rate, ISO, white balance, iris, framing, etc) is necessary.

RESOURCE CERTIFICATION CLASS
This onsite, 3-hour class provides hands-on training for the Sony FX6 digital cinema camera, which includes the FX6 Sony digital cinema camera body and zoom Lens. This class is an introductory course on the Sony FX6 but the person attending the class will need to have basic understanding of camera functions and fundamentals.
If you do not have basic camera functions and fundamentals knowledge then we recommend taking the “Intro to Sony Cameras: Functions and Fundamentals” class first.
This course certifies Producers within our Producer Program in the following equipment to then reserve at no additional cost:
- Sony FX6 4K Full-Frame Camera
- Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 Zoom Lens
- Sachtler Fluid Head Tripods
- 7″ video monitors

Our classes do not have age limits, however, they are best suited for ages 15 and up. For minors attending classes, we require a parent or legal guardian sign THIS WAIVER. Please email a signed copy back to austinpublic@austinfilm.org or bring it in person on or before the class date.
