A landmark of the New Queer Cinema movement, this loose adaptation of Shakespeare’s Henry IV by Gus Van Sant follows hustlers Mike (River Phoenix) and Scott (Keanu Reeves) as they travel from Portland to Idaho to the coast of Italy in a bid to find Mike’s estranged mother.
