“Godard’s most delicately charming film”
—Pauline Kael
“Genuinely surprising—and oddly disturbing—the film positively throbs with Godard’s singular brand of cynical wit”
—Time Out
Two young would-be thieves fall for the same girl (Anna Karina) and act out American gangster movies on the outskirts of Paris while plotting a heist. Containing some of Godard’s most famous scenes, including the race through The Louvre and the Madison dance sequence, it’s a great introduction to the French New Wave. Best suitable for tweens and up.
WHAT IS FAMILY STYLE?
Family Style presents films that are not necessarily kids films, but are films that the whole family can enjoy together. Host Stacy Brick joins us for the weekend screenings, occasionally bringing interesting guests from the community to make these events sneakily educational for young and old alike.
