Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, I first took an interest in film at the age of 3 when I not only watched LADY AND THE TRAMP every day for a year, but also refused to go a day without playing ‘Video Store’ in which I set up every movie I owned around the house, made my parents ‘rent’ one, and then we would all sit down to watch it. Needless to say, my love of movies continued to grow, and despite Fort Worth being the booming metropolis that it is, I soon decided that in order to pursue a career in film I would have to leave Fort Worth.

Therefore, three years ago I enrolled at the University of Texas as a film major. Now I am going to be a senior at UT and will graduate with a degree in Radio-Television-Film as well as a minor in both Spanish and Business at the end of next year. For most of my undergraduate career I have focused on editing feature films and some documentary, but I want continue to explore all other aspects of the film industry including development and the actual production process. Here in Austin, the potential to gain more movie knowledge is never-ending.

I do not love any movie genre in particular but a little bit of everything. My love for independent film is strong and my passion for movies is derived from my desire to give every person a creative voice and to help those who sometimes feel misunderstood feel less alone. Movies create another world and stretch the imagination and allow people to believe in the impossible as well as remember the passion that all people should find in life.
