Few would say that watching GHOSTBUSTERS was a life changing experience. But for me at age three, with my bed sheets covered with the animated likenesses of Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd, it was definitely a defining moment for me. I was born in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1987 to a loving family determined to expose me to as much as the local Blockbuster had to offer. DIRTY DANCING led to THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, which itself led to A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. I might also add that this was all before age nine.

My mom was the local entertainment editor and would take me along to help review the kiddie movies. All these influences led to a lifelong obsession with trashy movies. I bowed to the altar of Romero, Waters, and Craven the same way many of my RTF brethren bow to Kubrick and Goddard. If it was on a third-generation VHS, I wanted to watch it. So when college came around the bend and threatened to take away my childhood, I hopped aboard the film school wagon, the first stop being Austin, TX.

Now here I am at UT, studying Radio-Television-Film in my junior year. In my spare time I act in the annual UT Madrigal Dinner, perform as a member of Gigglepants Improv, waste all my money at the Alamo Drafthouse, and stalk the aisles of my new local Blockbuster, hoping one day they get the courage to stock SHOCK TREATMENT.
