Matt Dentler is the Producer of the South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Conference & Festival in Austin, TX. He oversees the daily operations of programming and coordination for the annual film festival and panels. Dentler has participated on panels for the National Endowment for the Arts, the Cannes Market, the AFI Film Festival, the IFP Market, the Britdoc Festival, and more. He's a curator for American distributor Film Movement and Canadian distributor Films We Like. Dentler sits on the Board of Directors for the Austin Film Society, and works as a programmer for the annual Fantastic Fest. He also hosts the weekly Austin PBS series, "SXSW Presents," oversees the annual online festival SXSWclick, and operates the indieWIRE site "Matt Dentler's Blog." Dentler received his bachelor's degree in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas-Austin. In 2006, Moviemaker Magazine named him one of the "25 Coolest People to Know in Indie Film."
