Named the 2007 Breakout Austin Filmmaker by the Austin American Statesman, and the August 2007 Austin Chronicle Cover story, Kat Candler (cicadas, jumping off bridges) is pleased to announce her Summer Teen Filmmaking Workshop, through the The Austin School of Film. Classes start Monday, May 12th and go all the way to August 15th, every Monday.
This hands-on course will take teenagers through the process of making a short film from script to screen. Learn everything you need to know from screenwriting, shooting, scheduling, marketing, sound, directing, festivals. The class will be broken into small filmmaking teams. Each team will produce a short film using digital video technology. The course will feature guest speakers from the Austin Film Community on cameras, lighting and other elements of filmmaking.
