Texas Film Commission PA Workshop

Austin Film Society’s Austin Studios will host the Texas Film Commission P.A. Workshop on Saturday, May 31st & Sunday, June 1st.

P.A.’s (production assistants) are entry-level crew members on a film production. They provide support and assistance to almost all areas and departments. A two-day intensive program will teach the ins and outs of being a successful production assistant for those who wish to pursue working on films in Texas!

Benefits of the P.A. Workshop include:
  • Career counseling and strategies for finding employment
  • Specific training for the Production Assistant job position
  • P.A. Workshop Certification by the Texas Film Commission upon completion of the course to add to your resume
  • Certification entitles you to be listed as having completed the TFC P.A. Workshop in the Texas Production Directory available at the Texas Film Commission’s website
Requirements to participate:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • A legal resident of Texas
  • Have a valid Texas Driver’s License or Texas ID card
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the US
  • Must be physically up to the training- a P.A.’s job is challenging physically and requires long hours
